I used to use ECOS laundry detergent, but it was creating a buildup of softener on my diapers, so I switched to Tide Free and Gentle. Is it worth switching brands, or this Tide fine for my diapers? So far I have no complaints. The diapers are getting plenty clean and no issues with absorbancy. G seems fine and no rashes.

What do you use?

I used this link to help make my choice. I cant really afford any thing to expencive so i ended up picking Purex free and clear because i can get it locally And i use it for my laundry also (i have sensitive skin I use wisk for my hubby and older son because it what they like). I do want to try country save if i can find it locally. http://www.diaperjungle.com/detergent-chart.html

We're currently using Country Save and loving it! It is SO cheap, $7 for a box to last a few months for sure. Here in Canada I found it on the shelves at London Drugs. HTH!

Is that A&H liquid? How does it work--do you get any buildup? That was my backup plan to Country Save as I only wanted to buy something I could get off the shelf at the store--I hate ordering stuff online Wink

I read on one of the laundry lists that the Arm and Hammer Essentials was pretty good...I saw it at London drugs for like $3 a bottle!! So I grabbed it and tried it that night on my diapers...only to realize afterwards that it wasn't the hE one...EEK...oh well, maybe all those suds helped clean my machine...lol...I can only find the HE version in the scented one, which I don't want...so for now we're just using normal Tide...it's doing no worse than anything else we've tried...and much better for the price than a lot of the special, just for cloth, type detergents we've tried that haven't really worked. Finding the right detergent for my diapers feels like a full time job sometimes!

I second the Rockin Green! I know it doesn't work for everyone but I love the smell!

I've been buying Rockin' Green when I can get it on sale, but it is fairly pricey. I'd love to find something that works as well for less. Thanks for the tip about Country Save, I'll hit London Drugs this weekend!
