So I have to admit an adiction to watching the diaper stash video's on Youtube. So i was wondering

"Whats in Your stash?"

OK Here is mine.
4 homemade med. fitted pockets
1 homemade med. fitted
All 5 were made from a pattern i had laying around in my sewing stuff since 2005 i think its a momma bird.
1 homemade ottobre fitted pocket Its so big my 5year old could wear it.
20 homemade flannel/terry & terry/ micro chamie inserts they work
1 fitted pocket from the ritas rump pattern that i altered to close in the back with a snappi.
2 gerber prefolds that I trifolded and serged the ends so its like an envelope that i stuff i just lay these in.
7 gerber prefolds that only get used as inserts or crap i need to do laundry.
2 random Dsq that the hubby bought as rags
3 wahm med snap thirsties style pul covers love them ( She only charges $6 a cover Google her Bcfleecy diapers)3 pairs gerber plastic pants.
This is what i had to use for about a month and a half after i quit the diaper service.
1 homemade fitted lg mama bird that i sewed the soaker to the back inside of the diaper like an AI2 (this one is 100% upcycled flannel terry diaper) i love it. there are only a few design changes i would make then i would think about selling it.
After leaving a commet on a friends FB about what I was going to buy with taxes the wife of another friend ( I've never met the wife)

4 goodmama fitteds seconds Older style so the snaps dig a bit. But they are fabulus diapers
1 swaddlebees AIO with a pocket It has to be an older style cause i cant find it on the site its velcro
some no name AIO that has a sewn in light weight soaker but the main soaker is a fleece topped micr towel that is tri folded and snaps in. Velcro
1 mother ease fitted with two no name inserts
1 babykicks hemperoo insert
2 med bummis covers the froggy one and the space babies one.

The I went to a local diaper store when taxes came back
and got
1 Thirsties duo diaper size 2 my guy is 19mth 21lbs and its still a bit big
1 BumGenius 4.0 snaps just ok
1 Kissaluvs Marvel AIO in Chocolate (LOVE IT)

11 retired diaper service prefolds (1 is a primie OMG that is the cutest prefold ever)
1 upcycled side snap pocket that i have under cunstruction
Most of the 1st homemade stuff he has grown out of and its pretty pilly after being washed every day. I will not pack them away until I get to where im only waashing 2x a week cause i can stll use them as lay ins.

I got some more things ordered since he is moving up a size i will post this stuff when i get it. I will give a bit of a hint if you ladies follow some of the contest on fb I won the custum woolie from Chickadee & me a few weeks ago. It should get here this week. And i just made an order from cotton babies tonight for the remander of my stash.

I love how hodgepodge it is--it sounds a lot like mine, ha ha!

From what we started with:
- about 50 newborn sized flats (cotton/terry) from when my siblings and I were babies--my momma kept them all
- 10 homemade newborn sized covers (hand-me-down)
- 25 homemade hook & loop, flannel fitteds (hand-me-down, and in ROUGH shape now -- these are now my "diaper cream" diapers!)
- an assortment of "rubber pants" thru the ages

Where we've gone from there:
- 10 Kawaii Original Cross Over Snap Tab pocket diapers (each with 2 microfiber liners) in yellow, green & blue--LOVE THESE! They were SO cheap (about $7 each) and are perfect in every way!
- 1 Kawaii Goodnight Heavy Wetter with an animal print
- 1 Kawaii Pure & Natural (0-15 lbs)
- 1 pink Dinkledooz pocket diaper (my current favorite)
- 2 Slim fit MiniMaestros (DD is outgrowing these already )
- 3 Bamboo Baby All-in-Ones from Driline Baby
- 1 Blueberry Minky Bamboo pocket
- 1 lavender Huggabuns pocket (I've just started using this and love it so far)
- 1 Huggabuns bamboo trifold insert/prefold -- just prepping and am excited to use it!
- 1 purple Fuzzibunz OS pocket (just prepping to use!)
- 2 Bummis Super Whisper diaper wraps
- 3 Kushies velcro wraps (but these are pretty hurtin'!)
- 1 Zookies snap wrap (so cute!)

I know, it's quite a bit! :O Down the line, I look forward to trying some prefolds as I've never really given those a good go, as well as some quality fitteds, because I love the idea of how breathable & natural they are.

Waaaay too freaking much considering our LO isn't here yet! I am determined to try as many brands as I can in all types (AIO, AI2, pocket, fitted, prefold) to see what works best for us. Hopefully we'll be able to sell off what we don't like!

I totally understand... that's the case for me too lol. But, why not pre-stash? I look at it as getting a really good head start lol.

oh and I won a flash give away at bumbledoo and I got a super cute small wet bag.

Ok had a major stash over hual this week. I met a lady on change 3 things fb page who was trying to get by with 4 pfds. So I sent her allmost all my home made stash. So my stash looks really main stream right now. I also retired almost all the retired diaper service pfds. They were functional if you trifolded so the hubbie has like 10 shop cloths. And because of that I'v been splurging on ebay diapers. I've won 2 alva baby 2.0 , 1nubu (I think that's what its called) Btw I am keeping my expectations low I figure at worst they leak & I'm getting fitteds and I will throw covers on them. I also won a Scooter Mcgrooter pfd convrsion that I have high hopes for. If I like it I will convrt a few of mine. I am bidding on 2 babyland but that still has 9hrs to go. As for sewing I have drasticaly altred that pattren and am sewing diapers for a friend who due any time now and has a little girl the same age as Jeff. And I'm upcycling some for the lady I mentioned above. And sewing a new one for Jeff. (sewing NB diapers is pain stakeing ). And if these ladies like my design I'm considering selling them.

Heather, that would be exciting if you started selling! Keep us in the loop! Would you do an Etsy/Hyena Cart type thing, or just privately?

I'm thinking of just starting on Fb and selling to fans for awhile so word of mouth 1st. I started a fan site last week and I'm going to post pic after I've finished sewing. the ones mentioned above. But I hope tp buy a snap press next month. I think I will sew about six or so of each size then post them for sale. Do you think anyone might like tye dye fitteds I was thinking of making them only in th summer.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of tie dye, but I did see another WAHM group selling them successfully recently. I'm sure it's just a personal preference.

How much is the price range for snap presses, if you don't mind my asking? I'm sure there are low end and high end ones... I was thinking of getting into some farmer's market stuff eventually (with my sisters), and a snap press could sure come in handy for lots of crafts & creations!
